“This summer, a gentleman that I support was struggling. A family member took him to the hospital out of concern for his wellbeing. He spent several days in the hospital before being released. This gentleman spends the majority of his time inside his apartment unit and is reluctant to go out. During a recent session he agreed to go outside for a walk. With support, this gentleman used his walker to explore a path around the exterior of his building. While slowly walking, we talked about the flowers and birds that we were observing. This outing was more than a simple walk. Spending time outside of his apartment allowed this gentleman to feel the warmth of the sunshine, observe nature and adjust his outlook. I would encourage everyone to spend time outside with their clients when they can. Fresh air and sunshine might be what is needed to brighten their day.” - a Wright Rehab RT

Thank you @ovlaw for inviting Dana and Richard to golf on Tuesday in the Annual Hull-Ellis Concussion Clinic Invitational: A Tribute to Ron Ellis and Dennis Hull.

Benefiting the Hull-Ellis Concussion and Research Clinic at UHN, the tournament at Wooden Sticks Golf Club, was an outstanding success.

Thanks to the generosity of all sponsors, donors, and golfers, the tournament raised more than $35,000, advancing the important work of the Clinic in supporting concussion care, research, and education.

Spinal Cord Injury Ontario’s ‘Laughter Heals’ comedy event on October 28 is easy to attend this year, as it's taking place the night before the Toronto ABI Network Conference. sciontario.org/comedy-night/

Your ticket not only guarantees an evening of laughter but also helps provide service navigation, peer support, and advocacy for those living with spinal cord injuries.
