Over 100 trick-or-treaters participated in our Accessible Halloween event on Saturday. Here’s a recap that showcases some of the scene. Stay tuned as we’ll be providing a link this week to a gallery of the families and vendors, courtesy of @jadelinesphotography. Our Quiet Space, supported by @texaslonghornranch_ was a wonderful new addition this year and very well-utilized.

World Occupational Therapy Day is the opportunity

World Occupational Therapy Day is the opportunity to heighten the visibility of the profession’s development work and to promote the activities of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). The theme for this year is 'Occupational Therapy in Action'. The theme highlights the active efforts of OTs across the world to engage people in meaningful activities and participation. WFOT encourages use of this theme throughout the year to illustrate the important contributions of occupational therapy to health and wellbeing by promoting active involvement of people in the activities that they want, need or are expected to do.

Tonight (and tomorrow in certain locations), a wave of blue light will sweep across Canada as 60 iconic buildings and landmarks illuminate in recognition of World Occupational Therapy Day – a tribute that the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) is proud to coordinate for the third consecutive year. This global celebration shines a spotlight on occupational therapists (OTs) and occupational therapist assistants (OTAs) who transform the lives of their clients every day.
